What happens with my money if CeleBreak Cancels a game?

As of Monday the 30th of March, we offer 3 options for you in case we have to cancel an event, for example due to a lack of guests, bad weather, or a change in schedule. The options that will be presented to you in the player app will be:


  1. Alternative games (if available)
  2. A full refund in credits
  3. A full refund to your bank account: Only available if the purchase was not made with credits.


How will I know whether a game is canceled?

You will be notified via both push notifications and in-app notifications when a game is canceled. A banner on the event page will also indicate that the game has been canceled.


By tapping the notification or the “>” icon on the cancellation banner within the event, you will be directed to the available options.


Please note that it is the responsibility of each paying user to take action—for themselves and any added friends.

Alternative games ⚽️

The first option presented to you will be that of alternative games selected by the CeleBreak team. As long as those selected games have spots available, you'll be able to switch to those games for €0, you won't be charged additionally.


What if I have joined with friends? 🫂

If you have joined with friends (added and paid for by you) you will only be presented games that have enough spots available for you end your invited guests. If choosing this option and it's still available at the time of processing, all of you will automatically be added to this new event.


A full refund in credits 💰

If none of the alternative options suite you, or no more spots are available, you may request a refund in credits which you can use immediately to join any other event of choice. Refunds to bank 💳

In case you are not sure when or whether you will play another event with CeleBreak, you may request your refund to be processed back to your initial payment method. Keep in mind that this process can take up to 10 business days, completely depending on your bank. Note that if you have paid for your spot in the canceled game with credits, this option will not be presented to you.


What if I first opted a full refund in credits, and now this game has been cancelled as well? Am I still eligible for a refund to bank? 🧐

Yes, though it won't be presented to you automatically. In this case, you can opt again for the refund in credits, and contact support through the CeleBreak App. We will review the case, and if all seems correct, we will manually initiate the process to refund your purchase back to your initial payment method.
